After my emergent aortic dissection, at age 46, this was the first genetic testing I did at the recommendation of my physician. We tested for aortic conditions and connective tissue disease. The testing that I did was covered by my insurance. Invitae can test for other genetic markers for heart disease, structural heart defects, as well as various other rare diseases.
