Sharing An Amazing Story!

Today we would like to share the amazing story of 17 year old dissection survivor Michael Wilson. Michael was taken to the hospital complaining of chest pain while being positive for COVID-19. Because of the virus and elevations in his blood work he got the CT scans that would be necessary to save his life.


However it is what comes next that interests even more. Based on Michael's dissection and other family history of sudden cardiac issues, Michael's two brothers have gotten imaging and both have been diagnosed with aortic dilations.


This is why the idea of Think Aorta Think Family is so important. Because of Michael, his two brothers will hopefully never know the perspective of their aortic disease being an emergency.
