Aortic Dissection can occur at any age

Most Aortic Dissections occur to men between the ages of 55-70, but it can happen at any age. After my emergency surgery, the surgeon was heading into a case to repair a dissection in a four year old. Here is an important story of a 19 year old man who was not lucky enough to survive. His brother was later saved because of their knowledge of family history.
