What are some warning signs of Aortic Dissection??
Warning signs of an aortic dissection include:
Sudden, severe chest pain: Typically described as tearing, ripping, or stabbing, it may radiate to the back, neck, or jaw.
Shortness of breath: Due to pressure on the heart or airways.
Weakness or numbness: In the arms, legs, or face.
Nausea and vomiting: Caused by pain and discomfort.
Loss of consciousness: In severe cases.
Unequal pulses: Weaker pulse in one arm or leg compared to the other.
Hoarseness or difficulty swallowing: If the dissection affects the throat.
Sweating: Profuse sweating may occur.
Abdominal pain: If the dissection extends into the abdominal aorta.
Stroke-like symptoms: Such as slurred speech, vision problems, or paralysis on one side of the body.
Note: These symptoms can also be caused by other conditions, so it's crucial to seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of them.
